maxRAID: faster writes, longer drive life
Traditional RAID-6 is safe but painfully slow on writes. RAID-10 is fast but wastes half your capacity. maxRAID gives you the speed of RAID-10 with the safety of dual-parity RAID — while extending SSD lifespan nearly 4×. We didn't adopt it because it's clever on paper; we adopted it after proving it in our own operation.
